Baby Ava needs your help...

This is probably going to be a long blog post. But, just indulge me a bit. I've only known Ava for a short while, but I've already grown quite fond of this pretty baby. Baby Ava celebrated her 1st birthday not too long ago. She came in to see me for her first birthday portraits. Little Miss Ava looks just like any other one year old celebrating her birthday, but Ava happens to live with a genetic disease called SMA Type 1. Ava is beautiful, bright and as smart as any other one year old but she has lots of obstacles that she has to overcome everyday just so she can make it to her next birthday. Please help Ava by learning a bit more about SMA. It is a common, but not well known genetic disease. Ava and the other children with SMA need your help by signing the petition to fund additional SMA research....research that could help save Ava's life. I know her parents are reading, and I am certain that they really appreciate the signatures and I do as well.

Andrews Sisters - Family Portraits The Woodlands, Houston Photographer

Let me start off with posting this first photo....because it is how our session with these four sisters started off. :o)

As I was snapping the first few photos, I heard one of the girls scream 'A Frog!' and point right near where we were doing the shoot. I really expected the girls to run off screaming. Boy, was I wrong! Nope...they proceeded to pick up the little froggy and play with it. It was too funny. And, I secretly hoped that darn frog didn't get away as I tried to steal a photo of it. They all look like cute little girly-girls but they are secretly sweet little tomboys at heart!

She came over today to model my new red tutu for me and she is such a cute little ham in front of the camera that we had fun snapping a few more....ok, well, a LOT more. :o) Thanks for coming today, Dee!

Halloween is right around the corner!

Do you have your kid's Halloween costumes yet??? (lol....I don't!) Hurry up and get it made or ordered because October 1st will be our Halloween Portrait Bash! I'll be doing a full day of studio limited edition sessions just for Halloween. Bring your kids in costume or your favorite fall outfit for a 20-30 minute Halloween session. These limited edition Halloween Sessions are $150 and include one 8x10, two 5x7's and eight 5x7 Halloween Greeting cards made with your choice of photos from the session plus an online gallery for viewing proofs after the session.
